Fan Zone Information

While Secaucus was initially designated as a "host town/flag city" for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, plans for a "Secaucus Downtown fan zone" in Secaucus Plaza Center have been altered. Due to concerns from the Police Chief, the event is now likely to be moved to Laurel Hill Park and would be hosted by Hudson County rather than the town of Secaucus itself. As of January 16, 2026, a spokeswoman for the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce stated it was too premature to announce specific details for this revised plan.

However, prior plans for the Secaucus Plaza Center event, which may reflect the kind of activities being considered for a Secaucus-area fan event, included:

• Live broadcasts of World Cup games on large LED screens.
• Food trucks, international cuisine, and beverage vendors.
• A beer garden and VIP lounge.
• Live music, DJs, and community performances.
• Kids' zones with family-friendly activities.
• Shopping vendors for soccer gear and local crafts.
• Soccer-themed games and immersive fan experiences.
• Embassy and cultural activities, flag installations, town-wide decorations, and pep rallies.

Official FIFA Fan Festivals and Other Fan Zones in the Region:

The official FIFA Fan Festival™ for the New York New Jersey region will be hosted at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. This festival is designed to be the central fan destination outside of the stadiums, offering a vibrant atmosphere with live match viewings, music, entertainment, culture, food, and lifestyle experiences. The FIFA Fan Festival at Liberty State Park will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, and will include live match screenings, headline music performances, celebrity appearances, family-friendly programming, and interactive football experiences. It is important to note that tickets for the fan zone at Liberty State Park are listed at $12.50.

In addition to Liberty State Park, other fan zones are being planned in New York City:

• NYNJ World Cup 26 Fan Zone Queens will take place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center's Louis Armstrong Stadium from June 17 to June 28, 2026.
• NYNJ World Cup 26 Fan Village Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan will run from July 4 to July 19, 2026, transforming the iconic Rockefeller Center Rink into a football pitch with large screens for live broadcasts, interactive experiences, and cultural programming.
