Fan Zone Information

Dates: TBA

While Santa Monica is anticipated to be a lively hub for fans during the FIFA World Cup 2026, the Santa Monica Pier itself is slated to host a specific fan experience rather than being listed as one of the broader official FIFA Fan Zones for Los Angeles County.

Santa Monica Pier: Michelob ULTRA's "Pitchside Club"

Anheuser-Busch's Michelob ULTRA brand has proposed bringing its "Pitchside Club" fan experience to the Santa Monica Pier for approximately three weeks in June 2026. This activation, subject to city council approval, is expected to coincide with FIFA World Cup matches held in Los Angeles. It will feature match viewing, brand activations, live broadcasts, and food and beverage services. Daily programming will be geared towards guests aged 21 and older. The estimated capacity for this event ranges from 1,000 to 5,000 guests at any given time, with total attendance projected between 25,000 and 75,000 visitors over a 15-day programming window from June 11-27. The proposed occupation of the pier for this event is from June 7-30, including set-up and dismantle. Santa Monica is generally considered an excellent "West-Coast Fan Base" due to its proximity to match venues, vibrant atmosphere, and scenic beauty.

Official FIFA Fan Zones in Los Angeles County

The Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee has announced a slate of official FIFA Fan Zones across the county, designed to provide accessible gathering places for residents and visitors to watch matches and participate in soccer-themed activities. These fan zones will feature watch parties, cultural activities, food, and music, running for over a month on various dates leading up to the World Cup's conclusion on July 19.

The officially selected sites for these fan zones include:

  • The Original Farmers Market (Fairfax): June 18–21
  • City of Downey: June 20
  • Union Station & LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (Downtown LA): June 25–28
  • Hansen Dam Lake (Lake View Terrace): July 2–5
  • Earvin "Magic" Johnson Park (Willowbrook): July 4, 5
  • Whittier Narrows (South El Monte): July 9–11
  • Venice Beach: July 11
  • Fairplex (Pomona): July 14, 15, 18, 19
  • West Harbor (San Pedro): July 14, 15, 18, 19

FIFA Fan Festival™ at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

In addition to these community fan zones, the main FIFA Fan Festival™ will be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum from June 11 to 15. This central fan destination will be a primary hub for fans globally, offering live match broadcasts, concerts, and various food options. It is touted as the best place outside the stadiums to experience the World Cup atmosphere with football, music, entertainment, culture, food, and lifestyle.

Further details on specific events, activities, and visitor guides for each fan zone, including any potential nominal fees, are expected to be released closer to the tournament. For transportation to match venues at SoFi Stadium, it is strongly advised to utilize public transport and free event shuttles from Metro stations rather than driving, due to expected traffic and parking challenges.
