The Liberty Memorial in Kansas City, MO, will host an official FIFA Fan Festival™ for the FIFA World Cup 2026, offering a vibrant celebration for both local and international soccer fans. This free event is set against the iconic backdrop of the National WWI Museum and Memorial and is expected to run for at least 18 days, aligning with Kansas City's six matches and major U.S. national team fixtures.

Events and Activities:

The FIFA Fan Festival™ at Liberty Memorial is designed to deliver a comprehensive World Cup experience. Key activities and offerings include:

• Live Match Screenings: Fans can catch live broadcasts of FIFA World Cup 2026 games, including all six matches hosted in Kansas City, on a massive 45x25 ft screen and multiple side screens.
• Live Entertainment: Two large stages will feature a diverse range of performances, cultural showcases, and fan-fare. Confirmed acts include The Chainsmokers, Flo Rida, Sheryl Crow, The All-American Rejects, Tech N9ne, Cimafunk, and Gabby Barrett.
• Food & Drink: The festival will offer a blend of Midwestern BBQ specialties and global culinary delights, including ribs and churros.
• Fan Engagement: Expect dance parties during halftime, opportunities to celebrate wins, interactive soccer experiences, skills challenges, games, and fan competitions.
• Themed Events: The festival will host themed periods, such as "Heartland Hello" (June 11-14, 16) to welcome visitors, "Sports Town USA" (June 19-21) to highlight local sports culture, "The World's Game" (June 24-27), "Home Team" (July 3-5), and "KC Creates" (July 9-11).
• Team Spirit & Global Vibes: The festival encourages fans to embrace team spirit with opportunities to wave scarves and join chants, fostering a global atmosphere.
• Merchandise & Displays: Attendees can find official merchandise and trophy displays.

Visitor Guide:

• Location: The fan zone is situated on the south lawn of the National WWI Museum and Memorial at 2 Memorial Dr, Kansas City, MO 64108.
• Dates and Hours: The festival will run across 19 days of the tournament, from June 11 to July 11, with specific dates including June 11-14, 16, 19-21, 24-27, and July 3-6, 9-11. It will be closed on certain days to encourage exploration of the broader Kansas City area. Hours will vary daily to accommodate match kickoff times and scheduled events.
• Admission: Entry to the FIFA Fan Festival™ is free, but registration and a digital pass secured through the Kansas City section of the FIFA smartphone app (available for iOS and Android) are required for admission.
• Capacity: The Fan Festival site has a planned capacity for approximately 25,000 fans at a time, with general admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Entrance: Fans will enter through the "KC Heart Gateway," a 65-foot heart-shaped structure. Guests must pass through a security checkpoint. The South gate and Northwest gate (at the intersection of Pershing Rd. and Kessler Rd.) are designated entry points.
• Accessibility and Comfort: The fan zone, designed by global firm Populous, prioritizes accessibility and comfort, featuring shaded zones, misting fans, and cooling stations to combat summer heat. ADA shuttles will be available.
• Security: A clear bag policy will be in effect, and all guests must undergo security screening.
• Parking and Transportation: No parking is available directly on the grounds of the National WWI Museum and Memorial. Visitors are strongly encouraged to use public transportation or park-and-ride options.
• KC Streetcar: Take the streetcar to the Union Station stop and walk to the Northwest gate, or to the WWI Museum & Memorial stop and walk to the South gate.
• City Bus (RideKC): Plan your trip to Union Station or Liberty Memorial as the destination.
• ConnectKC26: A dedicated motorcoach bus service will connect riders between the Fan Festival and 15 regional sites, requiring a purchased pass.
• Rideshare/Taxis: Services are restricted around the Fan Festival area, so check KC2026 for more information.
• National WWI Museum and Memorial Access: The museum and memorial will remain open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the summer, even when the Fan Festival is closed. During Fan Festival operating days, museum admission will be a single all-access ticket, which includes guaranteed admission to the Fan Festival. When the Fan Festival is closed, normal museum admission prices apply.

Visitors are advised to arrive early for good viewing spots, dress in team colors, bring essentials in a clear bag, stay hydrated, and use sun protection.
