Philadelphia's Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park will host the official FIFA Fan Festival™ for the FIFA World Cup 2026, offering a vibrant hub for soccer enthusiasts throughout the tournament. This fan zone is designed to be a free, public celebration of community, culture, music, and sport, running for the entire duration of the World Cup from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

Events and Activities:

The FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill is expected to attract 15,000 to 20,000 visitors daily. Attendees can look forward to a wide array of activities:

  • Live Match Screenings: All 104 World Cup matches will be broadcast live on giant screens, ensuring fans won't miss any action.
  • Food and Beverages: A diverse selection of food and beverage vendors will be on-site, offering international cuisine.
  • Entertainment: The festival will feature live music, DJs, and various forms of entertainment, including cultural performances.
  • Interactive Experiences: Fans can engage in interactive games, VR soccer games, and penalty shootout stations.
  • Merchandise: Official FIFA World Cup merchandise will be available for purchase.
  • Amenities: The fan zone will include family areas, quiet spaces, and cooling stations for visitor comfort.
  • Non-Match Days: While match days will be filled with watch parties and activations, non-match days may feature ticketed concert experiences.

Visitor Information and Accessibility:

Lemon Hill, located in East Fairmount Park, was chosen for its expansive views of the city skyline and its potential for renovation as a lasting legacy project for Philadelphia.

  • Admission: Entry to the FIFA Fan Festival is free for all visitors.
  • Location & Walkability: Lemon Hill is within walking distance of Center City Philadelphia and is close to popular landmarks like the Philadelphia Art Museum and the Rocky Statue.
  • Transportation: The fan zone experience is planned to be pedestrian-friendly. Driving and parking at the site are not expected to be viable options. While public transportation directly to Lemon Hill is somewhat limited, relying on SEPTA's Girard Avenue trolley and certain bus routes, a comprehensive shuttle system is being explored to help move people around the city to the festival site.
  • Park Improvements: To prepare for the influx of visitors, significant revitalization efforts are underway at Lemon Hill, including upgrades to power, lighting, critical grading for ADA accessibility, and the installation of drinking water stations and security cameras.
